Re: lipo trouble

I remember a really good thread on RCC a couple years back about MAH and C ratings but can't find it now.

Re: How Many Posts. . . . .

Yeah, I think it is 300, but you also have to be a member for a year. Now that definately weeds out scammers!
A little harsh for bonafide newcomers, but I feel it's better for the monetary sfatey of...

Re: Medium duty loosely based Mitsu-Fuso build

Ha, I don't know about that! When I bought the Volvo parts it was only because of the discounts, I'm not really into Volvo Trucks. Which is why my Volvo won't even end up being a Volvo! lol.

That's what I'm planning on trying on mine, a scissor lift. Seem...

Re: Radios, stick or pistol, building a cheap 6ch 2.4ghz pistol

Lol, yeah that's what I meant, still two seperate radio systems but one case for the controllers.

You could make a mini dash layout, have a steering wheel, shift lever, some toggles and knobs,...

It started as a Volvo, now, some kind of truck build thread

I think this is the proper forum for this as it'll be a construction/dump truck.

Well, I got my Tamiya Volvo cab parts a couple weeks back and have sat looking at it and pondering what I'll build...

Re: Harley Hauler

Nice work on the over all finish/paint.
Now you just need a few 1:14 Harleys and maybe some crate engines or something.

Wow, nice work!
How did you form the possible rear and front fenders, and are they metal or styrene?

Re: my tools

Dang, you make my Dremel and Dremel drill press mount in the corner of my living room look like poo!
In the last year I've picked up a small drill press and band saw at Home Depot and I have a small...

Re: lipo trouble

Same here on the LiPo's. After getting back into RC a few years back LiPo's were pretty much just coming into the scene. I tried it and wow, it really is some battery. I had Scorpion batteries and...

Ah yes, thanks guys. This is good to know as I was thinking of using it for a dump bed.
If anyone knows a build thread or a link with details/pictures etc please post.

Powered all-thread and nut lift

Not sure what this is called, but the all-thread is stationary and has a nut on it, so when the all-thread is turned it moves the nut back and forth depending on which way it's truned.
I saw this...

Re: lipo trouble

I just meant the scale doesn't matter as in the battery doesn't care if it's in a 1/18 or a 1/10 RC, it's still a 20C XXMAH.

The 1/10 will for sure pull more but the ratings on that battery should...

Re: lipo trouble

The scale doesn't really matter, but in looking at the battery, those wires are awefully dinky. If it didn't say for the MiniT I'd swear it was a TX or RX battery.
It is rated at 20C constant and...

Re: Radios, stick or pistol, building a cheap 6ch 2.4ghz pistol

Yeah, I'm kinda partial to stick radios as well, that's what I started with back in the 80's. My first wheel radio was an old Futaba box radio with a wheel on it.

The coolest thing with the above...

Re: lipo trouble

The ESC is the kit one, or what comes with it stock?
Sounds to me like it could be a low voltage detection issue in the ESC, of which being an OE ESC there will be no adjustment as it's only made...

Nah, thanks guys. This is just in case anybody wants a great deal on a Volvo cab before they're gone.

I'm doing something a little different with mine.
