Just another alternative if you have an open channel on radio. You could use a switch (like a battle switch) and program radio with any reverse of throttle that channel would turn on thus enabling the full current to beeper.

That's what I was trying to accomplish with my DX6i. I was using the gear channel for the slave and couldn't figure out the mixing. I need more time captain!
