I hope to change that someday soon ![]() 210 pads in a days work still need 2 ops done yet ![]() ![]() 21 pads /plate ![]() the carbody frames ![]() ![]() I got the front idlers and sprokets cut but still have yet to take pics

Steve you have been very busy lately. Progress looks great on those pads. Now when do I get a set to throw on my CAT?
Keep it up. Tyler

Very nice! Two at a time is a good idea. You won't need a quick change because you can just switch machines!

Dang, that looks nice! And beefy! I like it.
What is the little piece of equipment, sitting in the background, with the rims piled on it's base? A snow cone maker? The handle makes me think mini drill press, but I don't see a motor, chuck, or cord anywhere. I thought maybe a hand tapper, but there is no handle for turning the taps. Can't be an arbor press. Not even leverage with those little handles. I give up!

Thanks Greg , yea your right I could use a good tig welder who has time to weld right now
finished up a little aluminum turning early , pulled the alm chips out and threw in some ss . the result was 2 drive spindles gotta cut my keyways and drill the 4 screw holes for the ring gear. yea I'm using my trusty ol hpi savage axle parts I couldn't find good small bevel gears without breaking the piggy bank . I'll be keying all my shafts on these to eliminate any possible slippage . Designing the track frames and drive housing . going to try to mill them out of solid bar . ![]() ![]() ![]() --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ahh ,another full week of cussin in the shop

You must have a ton of chips in your shop... Metal flying, someone could start a business just melting down chips for you..

A tissue coring press? One of those, 'I didn't know that even existed' kind of things. Using it as a height test stand, in the mean time, while you read the manual, doesn't sound to bad. Track sprockets and gears look great, by the way!

Did you see these gears Steve?
They would be better than the old straight cut bevel gears.
